GIVING POLICY

GIVING POLICY:

The Chesapeake Professional Women's Network ("CPWN") is based in Harford County, Maryland and supports women in their pursuit for professional excellence.  As part of its community outreach, CPWN raises money each year for the sole purpose of granting monies to local nonprofits dedicated to supporting women entering, advancing, pursuing or changing careers in the workforce.

If your nonprofit wants to be considered for a grant, your written request to the CPWN Board will include the following:

            1.         A demonstration that the purpose of the grant funds meets the directive of CPWN's giving policy, and in doing so, include a detailed description of the exact manner in which the funds will be used. Any request that does not meet CPWN's giving policy will not be considered for grant funds.

            2.         The grant funds shall be for a specific purpose that directly advances women in the workforce, and not for general operating expenses.

            3.         The grant request will be made in writing on or before October 31st of the year of the request, unless otherwise changed by the Board.

            4.         The request will include the nonprofit's name, Tax ID number, primary contact person, physical mailing address, email address and phone number.

All requests shall be sent to CPWN at P.O. Box 654, Bel Air, MD 21014.  The Board will review all requests and issue decisions on or before December 1st of the same year.

MISSION:  The mission of CPWN is to provide local businesswomen with opportunities for connection, collaboration, and community that will help them thrive both professionally and personally.
